Non-Invasive Cardiology

Comprehensive non-invasive cardiac diagnostics encompassing advanced imaging, haemodynamic stress evaluation, and ambulatory rhythm monitoring for precise, evidence-based cardiac assessment.

About Department

The Department of Non-Invasive Cardiology at PB Health provides specialised diagnostic evaluation and ongoing monitoring of cardiovascular disease through non-invasive modalities — without the use of intravascular instrumentation or internal procedures. Our clinical capabilities encompass cardiac ultrasonography, electrocardiographic assessment, and external haemodynamic monitoring to evaluate myocardial structure and function, valvular integrity, ventricular performance, and arrhythmic pathology.

Core Capabilities

  • Echocardiography (ECHO) – 2D, Doppler, and strain imaging for valves and cardiac muscle function
  • Stress Testing – Treadmill and pharmacological stress evaluation (including nuclear imaging when indicated)
  • Electrocardiography (EKG) – 12-lead electrical rhythm assessment
  • Ambulatory Rhythm Monitoring – Holter (24–48 hours) and event monitors (up to 30 days)
  • Point-of-Care Cardiac Ultrasound (POCUS) – Bedside rapid cardiac assessment
  • Continuous Telemetry Monitoring – In-hospital real-time rhythm monitoring
  • Pre-Surgical Cardiac Evaluation – Risk assessment before non-cardiac surgery

Integrated Non-invasive Care Model

The Non-Invasive Cardiology team operates within a fully integrated clinical framework, maintaining active collaboration with primary care physicians, emergency medicine specialists, and interventional cardiologists.

Clinical Focus Areas

Evaluation of chest pain (cardiac vs non-cardiac causes)
Shortness of breath (cardiac vs pulmonary causes)
Palpitations and arrhythmia detection (AFib, PVCs)
Valvular heart disease assessment (stenosis, regurgitation)
Heart failure monitoring (including ejection fraction assessment)
Pre-operative cardiac risk assessment
Screening for diabetes, hypertension, and high-risk family history

What To Expect

  • From the moment you arrive: Your symptoms and vital signs are recorded immediately. No special preparation is required for most tests.
  • Structured testing, not a queue: Investigations follow a clear pathway (EKG → ECHO → stress testing if required), based on clinical need.
  • Completely non-invasive care: All assessments are performed using surface electrodes or ultrasound imaging, with no needles or internal procedures.
  • Continuous monitoring during testing: Heart rhythm, rate, and blood pressure are closely monitored, especially during stress evaluation.
  • Clear explanation at every step: Our team explains findings in real time, ensuring you understand each stage of your assessment.
  • Seamless escalation when needed: If significant abnormalities are detected, you are promptly guided to interventional cardiology without delay or repeat testing.
