Do's

• No fasting or special preparation is required.
• Continue all regular medications.
• Inform the technologist of any previous surgeries, fractures, implants, or prostheses in the area being imaged. • Wear short sleeves or a sleeveless top for shoulder, elbow, or wrist X-rays.
• Remove all jewellery from the limb being examined — rings, bracelets, and watches.
• Remove nail polish if a finger X-ray is being done (it can rarely affect digital images).
• Bring your referral form and any prior X-rays of the same area.

Don'ts

• ⚠ Note: Splints, casts, or bandages may need to be temporarily removed at the radiologist's discretion. Do not remove any cast without explicit instruction from your doctor
