No fasting is required for most vascular studies. Confirm with your doctor. Note: 4 hours fasting Required only for Renal Doppler • For carotid Doppler: avoid caffeine (tea, coffee, energy drinks) for two–three hours before the scan, as it can transiently affect blood flow measurements. • For lower limb venous Doppler (DVT scan): no specific preparation needed. Inform the sonographer if you have had a previous DVT or clot. • Continue all blood pressure, heart, and vascular medications as normal — do not skip them. • Bring any previous vascular reports, CT angiography, or Doppler studies. •Carotid / Neck vessels: Wear an open-collar or low-neck top. Remove necklaces.
Upper limb vessels: Wear short sleeves. Remove watches and wrist jewellery.
Lower limb vessels (leg arteries/veins): Wear or bring loose shorts. Be prepared to expose both legs from groin to ankle.
No restrictions — resume normal activities immediately. ⚠ Note: If you have sudden leg swelling, redness, or pain and a DVT is suspected, please inform the reception staff on arrival so you can be prioritised. Note: 4 hours fasting Required in Renal Doppler
What is USG Doppler Penile
penile Doppler ultrasound (USG) is a specialized diagnostic imaging test that evaluates blood flow in the penis. It is primarily used to diagnose the exact cause of erectile dysfunction (ED), identify structural issues like Peyronie's disease, and assess vascular abnormalities such as venous leaks or arterial blockages
