Renal Disease
The Basic Antenatal Profile is a group of essential blood and urine tests performed early in pregnancy to protect the health of both mother and baby.
What is this test?
It typically includes a full blood count to detect anaemia, blood group and Rh typing to identify Rh incompatibility risk, blood sugar, screening for infections such as HIV, hepatitis B, syphilis and rubella immunity, thyroid function and urine examination. These tests identify conditions that are often silent but can be effectively treated or monitored once known, such as anaemia, gestational diabetes, infection or thyroid disorders. Early detection significantly reduces the risk of pregnancy complications.
Ante Natal Profile Basic is offered as a lab test. Follow preparation instructions if any, and consult your doctor to interpret results.
